Finally Done! '68 Hemi Dart

I began this build about 9 years ago (with several long delays) with the Revell '68 Mr.Norm's 440 Dart and the body from the '69 Dart to lose the vinyl top. I filled the '69 side markers and added rear markers made from aluminum tubing and clear-red plastic sprue (the front fenders were fiberglass on the 1:1 and did not use markers). I cut the "power bulges" from the hood and filled the openings with flat styrene. The scoop is scratchbuilt. Lots of scratchbuilt suspension parts. The parts box was tapped for the engine, transmision, driveshaft and upgrade to Dana rear (which is narrowed). Paint is Duplicolor (via airbrush) with Testors Boyd's High-Gloss clear topcoat. Bumpers were stripped, detailed and painted with Alclad. Lots of added details. The build is meant to replicate the early version of this car when it ran SS/BA unlike the later versions in SS/AA with the four-links, etc. I hope you enjoy the photos.
